According to the company, the acquisition of Changzhou Shine Science and Technology will broaden its range of welding products. In particular, it will reinforce Jackson’s manufacture of auto-darkening filters for welding.
The company also gains a manufacturing base in China access to the engineering skills of the Chinese company. It hopes this synergy will add to the development of auto-darkening filter technology.
This acquisition is the latest in a number of European and US based acquisitions by Jackson over the last 12 months, as part of a continuing operation to penetrate the international market.
