Australian speciality metals distribution company sold

ATLAS Group has sold its Atlas Specialty Metals Distribution business in Australia and New Zealand.
The buyer was a consortium of Balron Nominees and Greenstone Partners Private Capital associations. Atlas was paid $81.5m, although the volatile financial situation means the net proceeds could be reduced.
Atlas is a fully Australian owned company and distributes and processes stainless and selected specialty metals across 20 major cities and towns.
The specialty metals distribution company will be renamed to Bisalloy Steel Group, and Robert Terpening will replace Kym Godson as director and Managing Director.
