BHP Billiton has shuffled key members of its staff around in preparation for a takeover of Rio Tinto.
The company appointed Jon Dudas as president of its aluminium division, while the displaced Nelson Silva will become the marketing director for its carbon steel materials division, and take charge of the proposed acquisition of Rio Tinto.
Dudas has more than 24 years experience under his belt, and was the company’s chief information officer before the change.
According to the company, Silva has had 30 years of experience and involvement in the mining and iron industry and will support Alberto Calderon in the Rio Tinto acquisition team.
