Case study: fabricator uses estimate-to-invoice software

Although the new software has the ability to integrate with CAD/CAM files using an integrated module, the company is not using it because it out-sources the design work.SOUTH Coast Welding and Fabrication is using Planit’s Radan e2i software to control its metal parts fabrication workflow.
The business employs twelve workers, and creates structural steel, handrails and pipework.
Prior to moving to Radan, it used Excel spreadsheets to keep track of production. Although the new software has the ability to integrate with CAD/CAM files using an integrated module, the company is not using it because it out-sources the design work.
According to the company, the software can be adapted to suit its requirements, and is easy to pick up. It has sped up the process of looking at estimates, and quoting, speeding up the progress of jobs through the workshop.
According to Planit, its solutions are tailored for the sheet metal industry, and aim to reduce inventory, increase material utilisation and improve workplace productivity. The software is based on a modular approach which integrates various tasks for maximum traceability and efficiency.
