Composite metal core electrode

The electrode is said to provide stable arc transfer which transitions into spraySELECT-ARC has released a composite metal cored electrode for gas metal arc welding of austenitic and stainless steels.
The 307EU-C is composite, and said to provide higher deposition rates and faster travel speeds than those achieved by solid electrodes. The manufacturer claims the weld deposit is resistant to hto cracking.
The electrode is said to provide stable arc transfer which transitions into spray. It can also bridge gaps and poor fit-up areas, and deliver consistent deposit composition.
The manufacturer recommends the electrode for use when welding automotive exhaust systems, joining austenitic stainless steel to ferritic stainless or carbon steel, welding armour plate, and joining dissimilar steels.
