Desktop laser marking system
LASIT has released a compact desktop laser marking system for metal and plastic components, with an automatic focusing system.
The LaserTab has a motorised Z axis with 40cm travel. The fully enclosed system comes with a fibre laser, galvo scan head, computer, and software which allow the laser marker to engrave graphics, logos, alpha-numerics, barcodes, data matrices, and serial numbers.
According to the company, the system is fully air cooled, service-free, and very reliable. It uses a low voltage power source and is said to have a compact footprint and power efficiency up to 50%.
The machine can mark components varying in thickness from 0 to 150mm, with instant focus provided by the joystick. A drawer allows loading and unloading of small parts without having to open the door. The cabinet comes with a door with a Class I inspection glass to inspect the product being marked.
The software can control the intensity of the focusing image to suit reflective or absorbent components.
The system can be customised with various types of laser such as Fibre, Vanadate, Carbon Dioxide and Green.
