Digital control for welding power supplies

THERMADYNE will be displaying an upgraded range of welding power supplies at the National Manufacturing Week at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 May to 30 May 2008.
According to the company, the new range of Cigweld Professional Inverter welding power supplies has microprocessor technology and digital control to provide outstanding arc characteristics.
The units are rated from 200 amps to 400 amps and are fitted with a fully compliant VRD system.
The company claims Cigweld brand cutting and welding products account for more than 75% of its sales in the Asia Pacific region.
In addition to its flagship line, Thermadyne will also display its Skill range at the exhibition, which includes small arc welders, gas welding and cutting gear, MIG welding guns and spares and air plasma cutting equipment.
It will also be showing off Thermal Dynamics plasma cutting systems, Tweco welding roches, Arcair carbon arc gouging torches and rods, and Stoody hard surfacing wires.
