Folding machine and punch press to be exhibited
MAXITECH has announced it will exhibit a long-length folding machine and a servo electric turret punch press at National Manufacturers’ Week 2008.
The company’s exhibit at the Austech section will provide access to the Tensol Origami long-length folding machine.
The Origami comes in standard configurations with folding lengths of four metres, six metres, eight metres, 10 meters, 12 metres and 14 metres. The machine can also be customised according to specific needs.
It is said to be wear-proof, with long life. A hardened reinforcement bar allows it to fold materials which exceed the hardness of standard steels. The machine has work depths of 1100mm, 1250mm or 1500mm.
The folding machines are said to have sophisticated control systems. Programs can have more than 100 lines, the console is operated via a touch screen, incremental entries and fold repetitions can be programmed, and the consol is ergonomic. Radius can also be executed with the help of a specific programming macro.
The other machine to be exhibited is the Finn-Power E5 Compact Express, a compact servo electric turret punch press with fully automated material handling capabilities. It can bend, form, tap and mark.
The machine has fully programmable punching and upforming stroke (NC-axis), and comes with 18 tonne or 27 tonne punching force configurations.
With fully programmable punching and upforming stroke (NC-axis), the E5 Compact Express from FINN-POWER is available with 20 ton and 30 ton punching force.
According to the company, the E5 has economic operation, with low electric connection, consumption and maintenance costs. Its small footprint allows easy placement in most facilities.
The E5 is suited for small fabrication shops which require a level of automation. It can be used in manual mode. Manual loading is improved by four positioning pins. The machine engages in semi-automatic unloading of processed components.
During automatic operation, sheets are loaded from the loading table to the clamps of the turret punch press. The machine automatically detects double sheet and centres the sheet.
