High capacity wheel blast machine

WHEELABRATOR has supplied UK-based Robinson with a second wheel blast machine, allowing the structural steel fabricator to blast 600 tonnes of steel per week.
The Wheelabrator Schlick 1.5m roller conveyor uses the company’s TITAN 16.4Eta wheel technology will allow three complete lines to run in parallel.
Each line within the UK factory consists of a back-to-back saw and drill combination machine, which feeds the steel via roller conveyors into the wheel blast machines.
The heavy-duty wheel blast machines clean rust and prepare the surface of steel beams and plates for fabrication. The integrated production line is said to minimise setup times and reduce down time.
In addition to wheel blast machines, Wheelabrator also offers equipment modernisation, maintenance programs and abrasive media and consumables.
