High density milling cutter

The milling cutter presents more cutting teeth per revolution, increasing feed and material removal rates by a factor of three compared to traditional insert-clamping systemsVALENITE has released a high-performance milling cutter technology with direct-insert clamping design for high density insert machining.
According to the company, its VForce with SideLok technology allows for increased metal removal rates, quicker indexing and reduced spare parts inventory.
The SideLok technology uses a single screw to allow for quick insert releases, while VForce features a hexagonal shape which provides up to 12 distinct cutting edges.
The milling cutter presents more cutting teeth per revolution, increasing feed and material removal rates by a factor of three compared to traditional insert-clamping systems.
The manufacturer claims the technology is compatible with new carbide grades and top-form geometries, making it suited for a wide range of materials, with extra focus on cast iron.
Available inserts include three carbide grades, and a ceramic material insert with geometries for roughing operations and finish-milling applications.
Valenite products are distributed in Australia by Valcor.
