High stability turning tools for precision

the CoroTurn TR has high stability and close machining tolerances, allowing for demanding turning operations in small part machining.SANDVIK Coromant has released a series of rigid interface profiling tools with zero offset tool holders that allow the system to be used in sliding head machines.
According to the company. the CoroTurn TR has high stability and close machining tolerances, allowing for demanding turning operations in small part machining.
The iLock interface provides rigid tool holding with the CoroTurn TR. It is said to allow for precise, repeatable profiles and continuous operation from sliding head tools.
The company also claims the T-rail design will ensure easy repeatable cutting edge indexing in the correct insert seat location every time. The cutting tool’s stability increases machining security and allows more components to be produced between insert changes.
The CoroTurn TR tool holders for sliding head machines and small part machining are available in the 16mm shank size.
