Large viewing area on auto-darkening welding helmets

The light-state is said to make setup and repositioning of hands and parts more efficient while providing continuous UV and infrared protection.HOBART Welding Products has released a new series of auto-darkening welding helmets suited for expert welders.
The Prowler Series has viewing area dimensions of 6cm by 10cm. Four independent arc sensors are said to provide continuous arc-sensing capability for out-of-position welding.
The lens darkens in 1/20,000 of a second after the arc starts. It has an internally adjustable auto-darkening shade, lens sensitivity and delay controls. The light-state is said to make setup and repositioning of hands and parts more efficient while providing continuous UV and infrared protection.
The replaceable lithium batteries last up to 3000 hours of MIG welding, and a re-designed ratchet-style headgear is said to eliminate pinched hair.
Hobart Welding products are distributed in Australia by Welding Industries of Australia.
