Low-cost CNC metal bending machine

TRUMPF has released a new machine in its line of units for low-cost entry-level computer numerical control (CNC) metal bending.
The TruBend Series 3000 are said to have a high degree of precision and ease of use. The company claims the line was designed for bending parts for daily use.
The new TruBend 3180 has a bending length of 4140mm, and a press tonnage of up to 1800kN.
It features four hydraulic cylinders which transfer the required press force onto the ram in order to increase bending accuracy.
The precision of the machinery is said to be enhanced by the sturdy machine frame, which is electrically welded, stress relieved, sand blasted, and coated with a multi-layer paint.
According to the company, the machine’s self-active crowning system means operators do not have to perform setting tasks. The machine also allows the operator to use a wide variety of tool clamping systems for greater flexibility.
TRUMPF products are distributed in Australia by Headland.
