Machine cuts both sectional and solid metals

an automatic band-sawing machine that cuts both sectional and solid structural metalsPOWER Machinery is the Australian distributor for an automatic band-sawing machine that cuts both sectional and solid structural metals.
The Shark 410 CNC HS is an automatic band-sawing machine capable of cutting stainless steels and light alloys up to 410mm in diameter and rectangular dimensions of 450mm by 410mm.
The machine has a multi-microprocessor, which allows 32 different lots in different lengths and quantities to be cut from the same bar. A self-aligning vice can feed deformed and misshapen bars as small as 100mm.
The metal bars are fed into the machine by a brushless motor and screw/nut system with recirculating ball-screws and a 700mm stepper motor. The feeding mechanism can handle bars weighing up to 3000kg. The bars are then cut by a cast-iron bow-head of rigid construction.
A bi-metal suitable for both sections and solids is rotated by a vector-inverter motor, allowing cutting speeds to be adjusted from 15m/min to 110m/min.
Cutting operations are programmed through a console, which comprises of a LCD screen which displays messages and a touch-tone polyester thermal shaped keypad. The control keyboard can be moved to allow for remote control and monitoring of cutting operations.
