Metal finishing system churns out parts in 25 minutes
BIRCHWOOD Casey has released a metal finishing system which uses its magnetite finishing process for treating iron and non-stainless steel parts.
The BC40 TRU TEMP system operates at 93 degrees Celsius, and is said to be safe for in-house operation. The satin black finish created in 25 minutes, and is non-dimensional with enhanced corrosion resistance.
According to the company, its process eliminates the problems and hazards of hot oxide such as splattering or boil-over hazards, while at the same time producing quality blackened parts.
The TRU TEMP process contains no EPA regulated chemicals. No waste treatment is needed in most cases.
The BC40 TRU TEMP system is pre-engineered, and can be set up quickly. It handles up to 907kg of work per shift.
