JET EDGE says it will be launching its a new mid rail gantry waterjet system on 6 October 2008 at the FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show.The Jet Edge Mid Rail Gantry Waterjet System will have a work envelope measuring 2.43 by 4m. Overhead loading will be accommodated for with an exposed tank.The ball-screw driven system comes standard with one abrasive jet cutting head, although a second can be added to increase productivity. An industrial PC controller manages the machine, which can be configured so all three axes are fully programmable.It also features direct-couple AC brushless digital servo motors and single or double carriages. Critical bearing components are protected with heavy metal covers with flexible lip seals.
