Precise vices for small parts machining
KURT Manufacturing has released 10cm capacity vices for precise, high density work-holding of small parts on smaller machining centres.
The HDL vices are available as manual or hydraulic models. Available in both manual and hydraulic models, the vices are two-station, providing repeatable clamping to 0.005mm.
The vices have an 80,000psi ductile iron body with machined steel components, with up to 2865kg of clamping force at 31kg of torque.
Both manual and hydraulic versions are said to be highly rigid, strong, vibration-absorbent, and accurate.
The manual model includes other features such as an adjustable pre-load design to reduce the turns of the handle needed to open or close the vice, and a holding block for clamping same or dissimilar sized parts.
The HDL manual model can be converted to hydraulic operation by way of a conversion kit.
