Precision wedge hook power chucks

The Rota NCK-Plus range of chucks are said to be 100% compatible with Kitagawa B-200 series chucks.SCHUNK has released a range of precision, three-jaw, wedge hook power chucks for CNC lathes.
The Rota NCK-Plus range of chucks are said to be 100% compatible with Kitagawa B-200 series chucks.
According to the company, the chucks are economical while providing good clamping force ratio because it uses the wedge hook principle and a robust one-piece chuck body. They also have long piston guidance and support design to ensure rigidity and accuracy.
The power chucks feature large through bores for a range of bar machining. Chucks are available in four body sizes of 165, 210, 250 and 310 mm diameter with fine serrations, and have pointed version base jaws with T-nuts.
The chuck jaws have ground serrations, said to reduce potential damage to the base jaws and increase stability during the clamping operation. The range of chuck jaws includes standard hard and soft jaws, claw jaws for safe clamping at high rpm’s, collet jaws for bar machining, specialized jaws for high speed/low deformation and pendulum jaws for clamping thin walled workpieces.
The manufacturer claims users can replace their Kitagawa B-200 with the Rota NCK-Plus, and will still be able to use their existing top jaws because the accessories are fully interchangeable.
Schunk’s lathe chuck range includes manual, pneumatic and hydraulic power chucks in 2, 3 and 4-jaw types with large bore and quick jaw change options.
The company’s chucks, chuck jaws, toolholders, grippers and automation products are distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand by Romheld Automation.
