SA Recycling has purchased an American metal recycling company from Japan’s Mitsui.
SA Recycling is a joint venture between Australia’s Sims Group and Adams Steel. It acquired California-based Pacific Coast Recycling (PCR), which operates seven facilities in the American state.
These recycling sites process both ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, with annual shipments of about 1m tonnes.
The joint venture currently handles around 2m tonnes of ferrous scrap, and almost 100,000 tonnes of nonferrous scrap.
