THE 2009 PacRim Stainless steel conference is themed ‘Fabricating a Sustainable Future’.
The PacRim Stainless 2009 conference will be held between 22 to 23 October 2009, at Wrest Point in Tasmania.
According to the Australian Stainless Steel Development Association, the conference will focus on its fabricator members and the challenges that metal working companies face to ensure viability in tough economic and environmental times.
The PacRim Stainless 2009 conference will address topics like the impact of a carbon trading scheme on the metal working industry, recycling, the challenges of chemical treatment, and lean manufacturing.
The conference attendees will hear from specifiers and end-users about what the industry is doing right and wrong. The keynote address will be given by Steve Barnett from the Nickel Institute. There will also be sessions on new trends and quality control.
Registrations for PacRim Stainless 2009 start in May or June. Sponsorship slots are now open for inclusion in the registration brochure, and trade booths.
