Standards Australia recognises electroplating and galvanising standards developer

STEEL making, electroplating and galvanising standards developer Frank Budge has been awarded the 2008 Meritorious Contribution Award by Standards Australia.

The Meritorious Contribution Award is part of the 2008 Standards Awards, which recognises individuals for their meritorious involvement and contribution to the development of Australian and International Standards.

According to Standards Australia, the work of these contributors help industries become stronger, improve protection for consumers, and result in more reliable products and services.

Budge first began working on Standards activities in 1962, with an electroplating product Standards for the fastening industry.

For 47 years, Budge has contributed his experience of quality assurance, knowledge of steel making, electroplating and galvanizing to 13 committees and subcommittees.
