BlueScope shuffles senior executives

Kruger had been with BlueScope Steel and BHP for 25 years, and the company congratulated and thanked him for his contributionsBLUESCOPE Steel’s Australian distribution and solutions chief executive will be the president of BlueScope’s North America’s corporate strategy and innovation.

This comes after the North American president Brian Kruger announced he would leave the company to enter the corporate advisory and merchant banking industry.

Kruger had been with BlueScope Steel and BHP for 25 years, and the company congratulated and thanked him for his contributions. He had a major role to play last year’s acquisitions of Smorgon Steel and IMSA.

The upcoming president Mark Vassella will take on his responsibilities in August, with transition within the next few months. The company will announce Vassella’s replacement as head of Australian Distribution and Solutions soon.
