Fabrication projects getting bigger

The company will fabricate four riser bases and one Pipeline End Terminal (PLET) structure for the Apache Energy Van Gogh oil field development off Western Australia.NEPTUNE Marine Services says its subsidiary Link Weld Engineering has been contracted to two fabrication projects worth more than $5m.

It will also fabricate, coat, inspect, test and supply a pipe spool package for the Ambatovy nickel project in Madagascar.
According to the company, Link Weld has extensive workshop facilities and is often contracted by operators in resource industries. It claims the latest two contracts show customers are starting to engage its services on larger scale, higher value projects.
