High-flying Aussie tooling manufacturer

The engine is currently being developed by the GE Rolls-Royce Fighter Engine Team and will eventually be used by the F-35 Lightning II. The aircraft is said to be the world’s most advanced combat aircraft.METALTEC Precision International will manufacture assembly tooling for a Rolls-Royce combat aircraft engine.
The $2m contract will increase the role of the Australian industry in developing, producing and supporting the F136 engine.
The engine is currently being developed by the GE Rolls-Royce Fighter Engine Team and will eventually be used by the F-35 Lightning II. The aircraft is said to be the world’s most advanced combat aircraft.
Australian industry, research establishments and academia are involved in the design, manufacture and development of the engine. According to Metaltec, it has specialised capabilities in aerospace tooling.
