High speed steel structure component fabrication

PANCELTICA has acquired New Zealand-based Scottsdale and incorporated its metal fabrication technology which cuts the time needed to fabricate components for light-weight steel-framed structures.
According to the company, central to the technology is a piece of roll forming machinery which turns coils of high-tensile steel into pieces of metal which are joined together to make steel structures.
The company claims the resulting metal pieces are joined together much like a Meccano kit.
The technology is said to accelerate the fabrication of new structures by a factor of eight compared to traditional cement-and-concrete construction methods. It can also reduce the transportation of raw materials.
The fabrication machine can be transported to remote locations. It can also create other components such as external cladding, internal finishing and infill panels.
The metal fabricator says it is possible to build an entire structure in 31 days, from the steel coil stage to the skeleton of the building.
