Hydraulic sawing machine has two semi-automatic modes
POWER Machinery is distributing a hydraulic sawing machine in Australia, capable of operating in manual or semi-automatic cycles.
The Shark 282 SXI evo machine cuts 45 degrees right to 60 degrees left. It has an MEP 28 controller, and has two semi-automatic cycles, including semi-automatic and semi-automatic/dynamic modes.
The control console contains all the controls and is located on an articulated arm, allowing operators to position it according to their preference.
The control interface uses a low-voltage soft keyboard with touch-tone thermal shaped buttons. Hydraulics are controlled via a low-energy high-efficiency unit. The working area is a 265mm diameter rotating table.
When the vice is closed, the unit’s semi-automatic cycle initiates the motor, and lowers the head to execute the cut. The motor is then stopped and the saw head returns to the start position, before the vice is released.
The semi-automatic/dynamic cycle requires the operator to lower the head manually to just above the material, at which point the semi-automatic cycle is started by pressing a trigger switch on the handle.
The machine has a steel base with removable coolant tray. An electronic pump supplies the band lubricant for cooling, and an optional spray-mist lubricating system can also be fitted, as well as a traditional emulsion oil lubricating system.
