Insert grade increases tool life

According to the company, its DA1000 grade is suited for machining non-ferrous metals such as aluminium.SUMITOMO Electric Carbide has released a new insert grade which is said to provide tool life 1.5 times that of conventional polycrystalline cubic diamond (PCD) grades.

According to the company, its DA1000 grade is suited for machining non-ferrous metals such as aluminium. It comes in geometries for turning and milling applications.

The DA1000 is said to leave a superior surface finish on a variety of materials. It is provided standard in the NF style tip from the company.
