Insight into challenges of calibrating steel sheeting scales

According to the company, the weighing platform of the machine is designed to securely locate heavy coils of steel sheetingACCUWEIGH has tested and serviced a set of heavy capacity industrial scales used at a Brisbane steel plant for weighing coils of colour bond sheeting.
According to the company, the weighing platform of the machine is designed to securely locate heavy coils of steel sheeting, making the scales awkward to service and calibrate.
The scale has a capacity of 15t, meaning 15t test masses must be placed onto the scale for calibration.
Tough occupational health and safety requirements mean the test masses could not just be piled on the scale. Rather, the calibrator had to stack the weights carefully to ensure worker safety.
