The spool gun ready 215XT is suited for auto body and sheet metal fabrication. It is compatible with the company’s Magnum 100SG spool gunLINCOLN Electric has upgraded two of its MIG welding machines with spool gun functionality and timer functions.
According to the company, the newly-enhanced Power MIG 215XT is now spool gun ready, in effect making it the most cost-effective welder/spool gun package in its class. The 255XT has been upgraded with timer functions said to increase welding control.
The spool gun ready 215XT is suited for auto body and sheet metal fabrication. It is compatible with the company’s Magnum 100SG, allowing the package to handle light-duty aluminium.
The 255XT is designed for MIG and flux-cored welding in industrial production, job shop fabrication, maintenance and repair work. The timer function adds a four step interlock, spot mode, adjustable run-in speed for smoother arc starting and adjustable burn-back time to minimise puddle sticking.
Both machines use the Diamond Core Technology which is said to widen the voltage sweet spot, resulting in low spatter levels and a forgiving arc on steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
