SHEET metalworking equipment manufacturer, Darley says its new generation EHP-TL press brakes feature significant improvements to make the machine more modern.
According to Darley, the table of the new EHP-TL press brakes has been made longer to tighten the design of the machine, while additional support beams on the bottom make it more accessible for operators.
Darley says the most significant changes to the equipment is the operation of the crowning and the driving of the back gauges, which uses new AC servo motors instead of DC motors in the previous generation.
The conversion to AC servo motors for the back gauges is said to have increased the speed to 1,000mm per second for the x-axes. Additionally, the maintenance of the unit has been improved as AC servo motors have no wear parts.
Darley says the new hydraulic drive is faster than an electrical motor because the hydraulic control is much stronger.
