Levett Engineering secures multi-million dollar component contract with Lockheed Martin

LEVETT Engineering says it has secured a six-year, multi-million dollar contract to supply machined components for the Lockheed Martin built F-35 Lightning II, Joint Strike Fighter.

According to Levett, the contract was awarded by US technology giant, Lockheed Martin. The contract will see them supplying complex titanium and aluminium airframe components for the 9 nation jointly developed and built aircraft starting in 2010 and running through until 2016.

The Adelaide based defense and aerospace component manufacturer says the multi-million dollar component contract creates a stable foundation on which it can grow its existing international aerospace business.
