METABO has upgraded its line of chop saws by introducing a new model with an increased power rating and faster cutting of tougher and thicker materials.
The CS23-255 has a power rating of 2300 input watts and an added overload capacity of 15amps.
The saw weighs 17.2kg and has an ergonomic, horizontal D-shaped handle. It measures 35.5cm long and is said to offer safer operation and more precise cutting.
The saw is capable of cutting through a 6.35cm solid stock, 12.7cm thick pipe, and 12.7 by 10.1cm shapes. It is suitable for cutting metal and bundled drywall studs to length, as well as making bevelled cuts. Potential applications include metal fabrication and piping and maintenance.
The CS23-255 is designed to be used with bonded abrasive cutting wheels and includes a standard 17mm wrench that mounts on the tool base during wheel change. A safety lockout switch prevents an inadvertent start.
