TWECO has released its Spray Master MIG gun, which builds on the successful features of its popular No. 4 MIG gun.

Tweco launched the No. 4 MIG gun in 1969, starting an industry standard for MIG welding guns. It was the first to use the coaxial Cablehoz technology, which integrates liners, power cables, gas hoses and trigger leads into one cable.

The Spray Master MIG gun is smaller and lighter than the No. 4 MIG gun, and Tweco claims it is ergonomically designed to be more comfortable to hold.

The Spray Master MIG gun has a rotatable conductor tube with an articulating head, which locks the gun angle for certain positions. This also allows welders to reach different joint configurations and tight joints.

According to Tweco, the Spray Master series has a higher-duty cycle than comparable MIG guns in its class with heavy duty nozzles & diffusers. It has a duty cycle of 80% with Argon mixed gases, allowing performance in extreme welding applications.

The Spray Master MIG welding gun is also said to have longer trigger life due to a blade-style design which creates electrical contact by sliding over each other in a "self-cleaning" action, reducing arcing and bonding of contact surfaces.

Tweco products are distributed in Australia by Thermadyne.
