Aluminium conference announced for 2009

Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to tour a smelter plant.CAST CRC is holding its 11th aluminium conference in September 2009 to address the needs of the primary, secondary, foundry and recycling metal industries.
According to the organisers, the Aluminium Cast House Technology conference will be held at the Marriot, Surfers Paradise, Queensland, from 13 to 16 September 2009.
It will include a trade exhibition for suppliers to the industry to showcase their products and services.
Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to tour a smelter plant.
The final program has not yet been released, but the organisers claim the conference will deal with aluminium production in China, carbon dioxide emissions, alloying practice and products, safety clothing, dross processing furnaces, refractories, and molten metal filters.
A number of big names in the industry will also be present, such as the CSIRO, BHP Billiton, Alcoa, and Rio Tinto Alcan.
