The Z-Plunge milling cutter is said to have a design which increases chip evacuation, making it especially suited for slotting operations.KENNAMETAL has released a milling cutter for increasing productivity in die and mould, and general metal engineering applications.
The Z-Plunge milling cutter is said to have a design which increases chip evacuation, making it especially suited for slotting operations.
The cutter provides four cutting edges per insert. According to the manufacturer, positive cutting geometries reduce cutting forces, increasing feed rates. Coolant is delivered via interchangeable nozzles.
The cutters come in screw-on, end mill and shell mill sizes. Inserts come in various grades, suited to most workpiece materials.
